INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing the following duties:
1) Effectively communicate in writing and/or orally with customers to ensure clarity and aid in successful completion of a construction project; 2) Conducting meetings and/or discussions during construction phase of projects to ensure communication of project status and/or clarify any misunderstanding of project scope; 3) Reviewing and/or interpreting construction contract drawing and specification requirements to ensure compliance with policies, regulations and codes; 4) Preparing high level complexity construction cost estimates under the mentorship of a licensed Construction Manager in support of pre-negotiation positions for project changes requiring modifications to the contract cost; and 5) Providing technical recommendations/solutions to issues encountered on project site to minimize project scope under the mentorship of a Construction Manager.
