Electronic Warfare Technician I

Job Summary
Provides operational and technical maintenance support for Fallon Range Training Complex. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs system maintenance and operations and applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings. Uses applicable test equipment, based on task at hand, to complete required maintenance. Operates system under supervision and receives technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked for accuracy.
Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on assigned system; corrosion control on equipment/antenna and site housekeeping.
Qualified to operate primary system and perform maintenance on primary system.
Documents maintenance actions in Site Log and Integrated Enterprise Management System (IEMS) under guidance of senior technician.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Work is occasionally performed in a shop or other facility environment that is moderately lighted, heated and ventilated. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Routine travel to remote site facilities may be involved.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May require work in high temperature, dusty or confined areas. May require wearing and/or use of protective equipment. Routinely lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds. May require climbing on structures, ladders, towers, and be properly trained in fall protection gear and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Experience involved in the following electronic maintenance:
Digital/analog signal processing
Synchro-servo circuits
Radar and radar theory
Electromechanical devices
Video signal processing and recording
Communications (multiplexer equipment)
Digital/analog computer systems
High voltage power supplies
Test equipment
Optical equipment
RF signal processing
Antenna systems
Low-voltage AC equipment
Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment
Power converters and inverters
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Minimum Position-Specific Training Required
Formal classroom education, equivalent to Navy ?A? and ?C? schools or vocational school, in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and repair.
Possess a valid state Driver?s License.
Must obtain and maintain an active DoD Security clearance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
