Position Title Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Provides engineering and configuration management support to ensure active systems and equipment remain operational and maintainable; Performs work in engineering, installation, operational testing, and integration of equipment as it relates to the Navy's Cyber Security requirements, to ensure the operation of the Fallon Tactical Training Range (FTTR) as an integrated system to meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
Implements approved engineering project task requirements to include engineering and/or integration of system modification, range reconfigurations, testing, and new equipment buildups.
Coordinates equipment configuration support to include optimization studies, engineering studies, integration, testing, and installation of equipment in support of range growth or other requirements.
Provides TEC support to include engineering actions on equipment and software changes and additions relative to short-term operational test programs.
Supports the Performance Assurance Department with Configuration Management (CM). Evaluates and monitors all modifications to equipment and change requests to improve operability/reliability/ maintainability.
Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
A qualified applicant will be a member of the Engineering group that designs, builds, and implements Radar, Communications, Instrumentation and Network Systems on the FTTR. The Cyber Security Systems Engineer will interface and apply Navy Cyber Security requirements to support these projects.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizational skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in electrical, systems, or computer engineering or related field.
Three to Five years? applicable experience in Systems Engineering as it relates to complex systems, such as Communications, Radar, Instrumentation, and or Network design, test, and integration of Cyber security into these systems.
Must be experienced and knowledgeable in the areas project engineering and project management, systems integration, configuration management, documentation, and technical writing.
Possess a valid state issued driver?s license.
Possess and maintain a government security clearance.
Have certification or can obtain certifications in, Network +, Security +, Operating Systems certification or comparable Cyber security certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
CISSP Certification
Cyber Engineering credentials
Knowledge of customer mission systems
Experience in integrating new technologies into existing architectures
Knowledge of processing platforms, network products, and operating systems
Familiarity with Navy cyber-security capabilities and organizations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
