## Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Three years' experience in air traffic control, as an Operations Specialist, or as a Flight Crew Member in tactical military aircraft.
Two years' experience in electronic warfare, weapons delivery, training range operations or tactical exercise development and/or evaluation.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Range Safety training, Quality Awareness training.
Possess a valid state Driver's License.
US citizenship and Secret clearance required.
## Job Description
Clears aircraft onto FTTR bombing ranges and monitors air and ground activities for unsafe situations. Receives and transmits flight plans, meteorological, navigational, and other information. Routes planes for operation under instrument flight rules to control center. Provides meteorological, navigational, and other information to pilots during flight, using radio. Relays traffic control and other instructions concerning aircraft safety to pilots. Radios such information as identifying landmarks, beacons, and available landing fields to pilots in flight. Reports lost aircraft to air traffic control center for rescue or local emergency services. Monitors such radio aids to navigation as range stations, fan markers, and voice communication facilities, and notifies air personnel of availability of these.
With ATC approval, clears aircraft onto bombing ranges and restricted airspace. Monitors ongoing missions for unsafe situations. Coordinates ground access to bombing ranges in accordance with the daily range schedule. Monitors ground activity on the bombing ranges via surveillance and BDA camera systems. Alerts ground parties of potential danger via radio, telephone, or public address warning system (PAWS). Monitors all aircraft within FTTR airspace and notifies ATC, aircrew, mission coordinators, or RTOs of unauthorized aircraft or mission aircraft spill out. Immediately notifies Range Department Safety Officer and NWAS Mission Director of any unsafe or potentially unsafe situations. Provides written documentation of same to include recommended solutions. Authorizes the commencement of all laser events after assuring safety compliance has been met.
Utilizes the IEMS for operations coordination as well as maintenance reporting.
